How to find it
Ride into the Provincial Park opposite the Stanford Inn - there is a trail by the highway the whole way. Ride past Anderson Road on your right, through the entrance to the Park with the little signboard and take the first right. This loops round past a few campsite spots, and then turn next right where you see a little wooden hut. Signs to Dem Bones and Stove are right ahead.
The Trail
This is the classic straight up and straight down winding single-track ride, good climbs with sections to get your breath back. The trail itself ends at the powerline, and connects directly with Mushroom Head - the sign is on a stump opposite where Dem Bones kicks you out. A great loop is to carry on up Mushroom Head, past the bench and turn right at the Lactic Ridge sign. Then you get to flow down the other side of Mushroom Head, with options for either Red Sonja or Black Betty down to Burma Road and West Fernie.
