I thought that you may want to see the new Bike Park Design that we are getting built here in Fernie.......professionally designed by Jay Hoots!

Well, the city has approved construction of the Park. At this point we hope to actually have the park built this summer, that is if everything falls into place perfectly!

We are currently looking for dirt to be dumped at the site, a lot of dirt, about 150 truck loads to be exact. We are about to have a materials list finished to be able to start collecting all the goods to produce a sweet park like you can see in the photos area. All in all this project has been awhile in the works, sorry it's slow, it is the nature of the beast when it comes to politics...SLOW! I just want to make sure you know everyday something does happen, at this point just not with dirt. There is so much bureaucracy behind a project like this I feel like a politician, all the paperwork that is being pushed is moving faster than I thought possible, just not fast enough to be throwing down tailwhips or bar humps!

Keep that energy alive, knowing things are happening all the time. There is an amazing group working on this project like Ryland Nelson and Allan Knibbs, both pouring a ton of time into it. Soon enough I'll be begging all of you to come and give time to help this Park get built....I cannot wait!!!!!!!!
