Fernie Mountain Bike Club -

Fernie Mountain Bike Club - Newsletter Spring 2010

Greetings members and beyond. As the 2010 riding season quickly approaches I’d like to invite you as a local mountain biker to get involved and help the club help you.

The club has been shortlisted with the Credit Union’s Community Award Program http://www.ekccu.com , (a four year $100,000 initiative) to potentially receive a huge $12,500. This money would go directly to the bike park, seeing the implementation of wooden and rock structures, then landscaping for completion of the bike park’s second phase.

Here’s what you can do…..On April 8th and 9th at the Elk Valley Community Credit Union (across the highway from Tim Horton’s) there will voting to decide who will win the cash. All Credit Union members are able to vote. So either exercise your membership and VOTE or become a member for voting privileges. Get out there and help the club help you !

The $12, 500 will go a long way to complete a community asset that will benefit you as a local mountain biker.
