Diggler Trail Day
- Forums:
As most of you already know, the creator of the famed Dirt Diggler trail is out of action with a busted limb. What this means for those of us who love to shred the Alpine is that there hasn't been the usual TLC on the trail this year. There is currently a small crew headed up on Sunday to breath some love back into the trail, focusing on the dangerously narrow portion of the traverse, removing the death rocks from the steeps and clearing the lower portion of the trail (best done by ridng bikes through it)
As always, the more the merrier. A decent sized crew should be able to bang this off in a few hours and spend the rest of the day ridng and enjoying the fruits of our labour. If you love to rip this trail, come out and put some time into it and increase the flow factor, or if you hate this trail come out and fix that section that always forces you to walk your bike. There's no greater satisfaction than shredding a section of trail that you put your personal touch on.
We will be departing from Freshies at 9 am on Sunday, if you can't make it for 9 there will be additional vehicles going up later in the day. Please message me if you are in on this mission so I can arrange for shuttles and make sure we have enough tools on hand. If all goes well the maintanance will be followed by a 2 lap minimum of riding bicycles.
Keep the big vert alive, and give thanks to the countless hours Derek has already spent on this trail. See you Sunday!
