Fernie Skills Progression Park not done yet!

Thanks to all the great volunteer efforts we have now completed phase 1 of the Fernie Dirt Jump and Skills Progression Park.

But this is only phase 1, Phase 2 is still in the works
Please note that the dirt jump park is not officially open.

HAPPY KIDS

The kids are finally smiling. After a long awaited, debated, and deliberated time frame, we have a mountain Bike Park in Fernie. The last four days have been hectic for the Fernie Mountain Bike Club with the construction of the Park happening, hosting professional Bike Park builder Jay Hoots.

Thursday and Friday passed with long hours of bobcat, mini hoe, and loader time giving way to hand tools to prepare for Saturday’s Community Build Day. On Saturday morning around 8am, I started to prepare for what I thought would be complete entertaining chaos.

Diggler Clarification from DirtyD

A little late but it never hurts.....here is the full, correct story from this years 3rd Annual Dirt Diggler Downhill, by the man himself DirtyD, and no he's not a journalist, he's actually a roofer .........

Well...its October...the biking season in the Ferngulley is almost at an end. Most of this bike season, which started for me in late March was pretty uneventful after a "jump's gone bad" episode on my b-day in late June. i ended up with a really broken talus, bringing my stoke to an end or maybe just a "break" for the time being. After more then 12 weeks with no dirt or spinning. I have since been biking like its going outta style for almost 6 weeks trying to make up for lost time. The ole' peg is holding up as is the rest of me.
